A few things we've found ourselves returning to lately.
Not necessarily new. Not necessarily important. Just things that have sparked conversations or reminded us why taste often has very little to do with trends.
A Jaguar. A suit. A couple of footballers refusing to play it safe. And a square in Marrakesh that somehow gets better every time.
Here are four things making July a little better around here.

THE JAGUARS THAT MADE US
A few weeks ago, an early-2000s Jaguar XJ8 was offered to us at a price that was dangerously difficult to ignore, which sent us down a rabbit hole.
Before we knew anything about design, luxury or taste, we knew we loved the XJ8.
Long bonnet. Walnut trim. Soft leather. No giant screens. No performance theatre. No desire to prove anything.
The 2000s gave us plenty of things we'd rather forget. But when it came to cars, Jaguar still understood something many brands seem to have lost: elegance doesn't need explaining.
The XJ8 wasn't the fastest. It wasn't the most advanced. It wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel.
It was simply beautiful.
Some cars become classics.
Others become part of your personal mythology.

THE LEOPARDS ARE BACK
Few football kits have ever carried as much presence as the ones worn by DR Congo's Leopards.
Half sporting history. Half cultural statement. History repeats itself.
Now, thanks to Paris-based designer Alvin Mak, the spirit lives on through a leopard-print suit and matching bag inspired by the team that made the world look twice.
We're still debating whether to start with the suit or the bag.
Check it out.

THIERRY HENRY SAID WHAT HE SAID
One of the more refreshing parts of this World Cup has happened between matches.
While many pundits seem intent on protecting talking points, Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimović have spent the past few weeks doing the opposite.
Agree or disagree, they speak with conviction. They challenge lazy narratives. And they remind us that personality is still the most valuable thing anyone can bring to a conversation.
Football is better when the people around it have something to say. BBC had some words.
If you're more into footwork, skip the talking and head straight to this stunning moment during the commercial break.

ACTION BRONSON'S MARRAKESH
If you find yourself in Marrakesh, there's one thing that belongs on the itinerary.
Djema El-Fna after sunset.
The smoke rising from the grills. The orange juice stands. The noise. The organised chaos. Hundreds of people gathering around food as the city comes alive.
We've recommended it for years. Action Bronson always knew.
Go hungry.
